Two events were held to celebrate the 208th anniversary of the birth of Ukrainian poet and artist T.G. Shevchenko at the beginning of March, with the support of Refugee MeetUp.
“MY SOUL DOES NOT DIE, MY WILL DOES NOT DIE”. That was the name of meeting of Ukrainian children at the Oselya Hotel at March 10. The event was part of the “Hour of Creativity and Inspiration” project.
Teacher Halyna Rodionova told the teenagers about the important Great Kobzar heritage. The children also watched a documentary film about his life and work. After watching, they wrote their own postcards and they included some of his famous quotes.
And at the end of the meeting there was a sweet tea party with goodies provided by the event sponsors Refugees Meetup.
On March 11, a thematic event for adult Ukrainian refugees was organised under the title “Different – My Taras Shevchenko”. Ukrainian refugees talked about the creativity and personality of this distinguished Ukrainian artist. Unexpectedly, for every participant the familiar image of Taras Shevchenko offered new views on this well known personality.
Over a cup of tea and sweets, provided by the sponsor Refugees Meetup refugees from Ukraine exchanged facts about his biography, read poems accompanied by the guitar, reflected on his life, and on the women who influenced his creativity.
На початку березня за підтримки Refugee MeetUp відбулося два заходи з нагоди святкування 208-й річниці з дня народження українського поета і художника Т.Г. Шевченка.
«НЕ ВМИРАЄ ДУША МОЯ, НЕ ВМИРАЄ ВОЛЯ». Під такою назвою 10 березня відбулася чергова зустріч українських дітей у готелі Оселя в рамках проекту «Година творчості та натхнення».
Вчителька Галина Родіонова розповіла підліткам про значення спадщини Великого Кобзаря. Також діти переглянули документальний фільм про його життя та творчість. Після перегляду вони власноруч написали литівки з відомими його цитатами.
А на завершення зустрічі, як завжди, відбулося солодке чаювання зі смакотами, які надали дітям організатори заходу.
11 березня відбулася зустріч для дорослих у вітальні «Звичайне диво» під назвою «Різний та мій Тарас Шевченко». Українські біженці говорили про творчість і особистість видатного українського митця. Несподівано для кожної учасниці звичний образ Тараса Шевченка відкрився новими гранями.
За чашкою чаю під смаколики ми обмінювались інформацією, читали вірші під звуки гітари, розмірковували про його людське чоловіче життя та жінок, що вплинули на його творчість.
