On November 12, guides of the travel agency “Snurk.Travel / Your own Holland” conducted a free tour for Ukrainian refugees in the center of Amsterdam.
Of course many Ukrainians have already walked the streets of the city, and are familiar with local places of interest. But the route of this excursion focussed on more unexpected treasures of the city, those streets and unfamiliar places tourists have not yet discovered.
What about a house with an art collection that would be the envy of an institution like the Rijksmuseum. or a property that houses an iconic work by one of the most famous artists of our time.
During the two-hour excursion, the refugees from Ukraine listened to these stories, and thus added to their knowledge of life in the city of Amsterdam. They saw the town through the eyes of local residents, and not only through those marred by Ukrainian refugee problems.
It is worth mentioning that it is not the first time “Snurk.Travel / Your own Holland” organised a free excursion for Ukrainian refugees. The agency helps Ukraine in other ways too: they donate to Ukrainian refugees earned from other paid excursions, and also donate to Ukrainian and Dutch charities that support the military at the front or help civilians of Ukraine.
12 листопада гіди туристичної агенції «Snurk.Travel / Your own Holland» провели безкоштовну екскурсію для біженців з України по центру Амстердама.
Багато хто з українців вже ходили вуличками міста і знайомі з місцевими пам’ятками. Але маршрут цієї екскурсії пролягав нетуристичними дорогами серед малознайомих місць.
Серед них будинок з колекцією творів мистецтва, якій позаздрив би Rijksmuseum, в також будинок, де знаходиться знакова робота одного з найвідоміших художників сучасності.
За дві години екскурсії, біженці з України почули все, що потрібно знати про Амстердам, подивилися на нього очима місцевих жителів та отримали колосальне задоволення від спілкування з гідами агенції.
Варто сказати, це не перша безкоштовна екскурсія «Snurk.Travel / Your own Holland» для біженців з України. До того ж з інших платних екскурсій агенція відраховує кошти в українські та нідерландські фонди, які забезпечують військових на фронті, допомагають мирним жителям України.
