To help get into the festive mood on the eve of the Christmas holidays, Refugees Meetup organized a master-class making Christmas arrangements for Ukrainian refugees.
On December 7, in the always so welcoming, friendly, and peaceful Oranjekerk, the Dutch former florist Joop Jansen volunteered to teach a master class in Christmas arrangements using readily available items. About 20 Ukrainian refugee women created their own wonderful centerpieces using tea cups, pine branches, ribbons, and candles.
It was an afternoon of creativity, friendship, and mutual understanding. These events allow women to meet, to talk about Ukrainian refugee problems while at the same time using their hands to create a thing of beauty, helping to restore emotional balance at the same time. And these meetings help with the integration into Dutch society too.

Напередодні різдвяних свят хочеться створити святковий настрій. Тож Refugees Meetup організували для біженців з України майстер-клас з виготовлення різдвяних прикрас.
7 грудня в привітній Oranjekerk нідерландський майстер Joop Jansen, колишній флорист, показав, як зробити вишукані прикраси з простих і доступних речей. Близько 20 українських жінок створили власні композиції, використовуючи чашки, гілки хвої, стрічки, свічки.
Це був день творчості, дружби та взаєморозуміння. Завдяки таким заходам біженці в Нідерландах з України мають можливість зустрітися разом, поговорити про те, що бентежить, та створити красу власними руками. Також подібні зустрічі для біженців допомагають їм інтегруватися у нідерландське суспільство, відновити емоційну рівновагу.
